Starting at the rear grip and into the reel seat, Shimano is debuting FusionGrip Technology to the U.S market, which features a thin cork grip spread onto a Carbon Monocoque grip, a hollow carbon structure that transmits vibration directly to the angler’s hand. From there, a CI4+ reel seat is utilized for a lightweight reel to rod connection.

The Poison Glorious rod blank is tuned for peak performance through the combination of Shimano’s Ultimate Blanks Design (UBD), Spiral X Core, and Hi-Power X. The UBD technology allows Shimano to strategically position different carbon materials throughout the blank, optimizing sensitivity, strength, and weight balance for each specific model.
