Quantum Mr. Pike Pencil Slider Float Black

When it comes to deadbait floats, it has to be the Mr. Pike ‘Pencil Slider! Optimal line flow, very low water displacement on a bite and optimal visibility in all weather conditions – what more could you want from a perfect predator float? Produced from indestructible Rohacell – made in Germany!

The Quantum Mr. Pike Pencil Slider Float is a specialized piece of fishing gear designed primarily for targeting pike, one of the most sought-after freshwater predators. Given pike’s predatory nature and their tendency to patrol different water layers, the right float can make a significant difference in success rates. Here’s an overview of the Quantum Mr. Pike Pencil Slider Float and its application in pike fishing:

Features:

1. Design: As the name suggests, this float has a slender, pencil-like shape, which reduces water resistance when a pike takes the bait and runs, allowing for a more natural bait movement.
2. Slider Function: Being a slider float, it can freely move along the mainline, allowing the angler to fish at varying depths without changing the rig.
3. Visibility: Typically, these floats come in bright, easily visible colors, ensuring that the angler can keep an eye on even the slightest movements, indicating a take.
4. Buoyancy: The float is designed to offer optimal buoyancy, ensuring it remains upright and visible even in slightly choppy waters.

Usage:

1. Deadbaiting: The Quantum Mr. Pike Pencil Slider Float is especially effective when used for deadbait fishing. The float allows the bait to drift naturally, making it an irresistible target for patrolling pike.
2. Adjusting Depth: The slider function lets the angler present the bait at different depths, which is crucial as pike might be patrolling different water layers depending on the season, time of day, and water temperature.
3. Strike Detection: Any sudden dive, bob, or change in the float’s movement can indicate a pike’s take, allowing the angler to strike at the right moment.

Tips for Success:

1. Balancing Tackle: Ensure that the weight of your bait and sinker complements the buoyancy of the float, so it remains visible and upright in the water.
2. Setting Depth: Regularly adjust the depth at which you’re presenting the bait, especially if you’re not getting any takes. Pike can be quite location-specific.
3. Water Clarity: In murkier waters, ensure the float’s visibility is not compromised. You might want to opt for brighter or even luminescent models if available.

The Quantum Mr. Pike Pencil Slider Float is a tool designed with the pike angler in mind. Its features provide a perfect blend of visibility, flexibility, and sensitivity, making it an invaluable asset for those looking to target this impressive predator. As with all fishing tools, its effectiveness will be enhanced by the skill and experience of the angler, so practice and patience are always key.
