How To Fish With The W3 Twitch & Pop-T

The 72 length, Medium (M) power, and fast tip action are built specifically for precision lure manipulation using a baitcasting reel:

1. Walk-The-Dog Stickbaits:

   • Technique: Cast your surface stickbait (like a Spitting or Gliding Popper) and hold the rod tip low, pointing toward the water. Retrieve the slack line while simultaneously using sharp, rhythmic down-sweeps or twitches of the rod tip.

   • Benefit: The fast tip snaps the lure, creating a side-to-side zig-zag motion across the water surface, which is irresistible to perch and bass.

2. Poppers & Chuggers:

   • Technique: Cast near structure and twitch the rod tip sharply. Immediately retrieve the slack line and pause. The rods action pulls the lure, causing it to pop or spit water, mimicking a distressed baitfish.

   • Benefit: The responsive blank transmits the lures action clearly, allowing you to maintain perfect rhythm and generate maximum surface commotion.

3. General Topwater Finesse:

   • Technique: Use small soft plastic topwater frogs or prop baits. The rods light sensitivity allows for pinpoint accuracy when casting into tight cover and ensures you feel the strike even if the fish just sips the lure.
