Daiwa Saltiga 25 10000-P

Daiwa Saltiga 25 10000-P

The Daiwa 25 Saltiga 10000-P is a pinnacle of engineering in the world of saltwater spinning reels, purpose-built for tackling the largest, most powerful fish the ocean has to offer. This reel is the result of over two decades of refinement, focusing on a power-first design philosophy. The -P in the model name signifies a power gear ratio, making it an excellent choice for applications like slow-pitch jigging and targeting trophy fish that require maximum torque and control during a fight.

Key Technologies and Features:

• POWERDRIVE DESIGN: This is the core of the new Saltigas power-focused design. It consists of two units: the POWERDRIVE ENGINE and the POWERDRIVE ROTOR.
  • POWERDRIVE ENGINE: The heart of the reel, featuring an oversized G1 duralumin gear that is over 10% larger and 6% thicker than its predecessor. This massive gear is housed within a rigid Monocoque Body, ensuring precise meshing and unmatched winding power.
  • POWERDRIVE ROTOR: Crafted from aluminum, this rotor is engineered for superior rigidity and stability under heavy loads. Its design minimizes start-up inertia, providing smooth and controlled operation.
• Monocoque (MQ) Body: This one-piece, full-metal body concept eliminates the need for a separate side plate and screws to stabilize the internal gears. This not only enhances the reels rigidity and durability but also creates more internal space, allowing for the installation of the oversized main gear.
• Magsealed Technology: A cornerstone of Daiwas high-end reels, this technology uses a special magnetic oil (MagOil) to create a waterproof and dust-resistant seal. It is applied to the main shaft, the line roller, and the main gear bearings, protecting the internal components from saltwater and debris for long-lasting, consistent performance.
• ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) Tough Drag: The 10000-P features a high-performance carbon drag system designed for smooth and consistent pressure throughout the fight. The large carbon-drag-stack ensures exceptional stopping power and reliability, allowing anglers to apply maximum pressure without fear of a jerky or inconsistent drag.
• LC-ABS SW Spool: The Long Cast ABS spool features an optimized two-step taper, which minimizes friction and improves casting distance by approximately 2%. The narrow spool lip also prevents tangling, even when casting with minimal line remaining.
• Other Notable Features:
  • Tough Line Roller System: An enlarged line roller designed to endure repeated heavy loads and minimize line twist.
  • Manual Bail Return & Stopperless Body: A simplified, more reliable design for the bail arm, eliminating potential weak points for maximum durability.
  • Crank-Shaped Bail Arm: This new design ensures line is directed smoothly to the line roller, preventing mishaps.
  • Pillar Support System: The redesigned two-ball bearing pillar support system improves oscillation efficiency, resulting in a 20% increase in smooth and powerful winding
