Westin W6-BC 300 LSG LH Stealth Gold 10+1BB

The Westin W6-BC 300 LSG LH Stealth Gold is a high-end, powerful baitcasting reel from Westins top-tier W6 series. It is designed for anglers who target large, hard-fighting freshwater predators like pike and musky, particularly when using large, high-resistance lures. The 300 in the name indicates its large size, while LSG stands for Low Speed Gear, and LH specifies that it is a left-hand retrieve model. The Stealth Gold refers to its sleek black and gold color scheme.

Key Features and Technology

The W6-BC 300 LSG is built to handle the most demanding lure fishing scenarios. It combines a robust frame with a gear system tuned for maximum torque and power, making it a reliable choice for trophy hunting.

• Heavy-Duty Construction: The reel is built on a robust, one-piece aluminum frame. This provides a rigid and reliable foundation that prevents flex and ensures smooth operation even when fighting the largest of fish. The side plates are made from carbon, which helps to keep the overall weight down without compromising on strength.
• Superior Bearing System: It features a high-end 10+1 sealed stainless steel ball bearing system. This substantial number of bearings contributes to the reels exceptionally smooth operation, both on the retrieve and during the cast, even under heavy loads.
• Precise Braking System: The reel is equipped with an Internal Centrifugal Brake (CBS6) with six shoes. This system provides a high level of control over the spool, helping to prevent backlashes and allowing the angler to fine-tune the cast for different lure weights and wind conditions.
• Powerful Drag System: The drag system is a multi-stack carbon drag, which provides a smooth, powerful, and consistent drag force. It also includes a Drag Clicker feature, which produces an audible clicking sound when line is being pulled from the reel, a useful indicator during a fight.
• Optimal Gearing: The LSG (Low Speed Gear) designation means it has a gear ratio of 5.6:1. This slower gear ratio provides more torque and pulling power, making it ideal for working large, high-resistance lures like deep-diving crankbaits or for a slow, methodical retrieve with large jerkbaits or swimbaits. The gears are GT-A gears, which are precision-machined for smooth meshing and durability.
• Ergonomics and Aesthetics: The reel features a full carbon handle with non-slip rubber handle knobs for a comfortable and secure grip. The reel is also lubricated with three different types of grease during assembly to ensure optimal performance. The Stealth Gold color scheme gives it a high-end, stealthy aesthetic.
