AJ’s Prom Dress Steelhead Fly

The AJs Prom Dress Steelhead Fly is a proven, high-contrast pattern designed to trigger aggressive strikes from steelhead and salmon in a wide range of water conditions.

Blending classic attractor styling with modern materials, this fly delivers strong movement, flash, and silhouetteeverything needed to stand out in fast flows and stained water.

Its flowing marabou and flashy body create a pulsing, lifelike action that steelhead cant ignore, whether swung on a tight line or fished on the hang-down. The Prom Dress profile excels as a searching pattern when fish arent locked onto a specific food source, making it a reliable choice for covering water efficiently.

This fly shines in colder temperatures and variable light conditions where visibility and movement matter most. Durable construction ensures it holds up to multiple fish, while the balanced design keeps it fishing effectively throughout the swing.
A staple in many steelheaders boxes, AJs Prom Dress is a confidence fly for both seasoned anglers and newcomers targeting migratory fish.
