Ausable Wulff

Ausable Wulff A rugged attractor built for fast, rough water.

The Ausable Wulff is a durable dry fly designed to float high and remain visible in heavy currents. With its bushy brown hackle, golden body, and upright calf tail wings, it offers excellent buoyancy and a bold profile that draws strikes from opportunistic trout. Originally tied for New Yorks Ausable River, this pattern excels in riffles, runs, and pocket water where traditional dries may sink. Versatile as both an attractor and a light-colored mayfly imitation, the Ausable Wulff is a must-have for anglers fishing turbulent waters.
