Century Eliminator T900-SGT 14ft 4in

Century Eliminator T900-SGT (14ft 4in | 47oz)

The Century Eliminator T900-SGT is a masterclass in power and sensitivity, widely regarded as a beast of a rod that doesnt sacrifice finesse. Designed to dominate the most demanding UK shore conditions, this 14ft 4in powerhouse is built for deep water, heavy-to-mixed ground, and the fierce tidal currents of venues like the Bristol Channel or the Mersey. It is the go-to tool for specimen hunters targeting double-figure Cod, Halibut, and massive Rays.

What sets the T900-SGT apart is the integration of SGT (Super Glass-Carbon) technology. While the butt and mid-section are built for raw distance and winching power, the spliced-in S-2 unidirectional Super Glass tip provides high-definition bite detection. This allows you to spot the tiny rattles of a dab or the subtle pull of a wary codling, even while the rod is under the immense pressure of a racing tide.

Technical Specifications

Key Performance Technologies

• Formula 1 STF & AT-T: The butt section features Spread Tow Fabric (STF), a material used in F1 chassis for its incredible strength-to-weight ratio. This, combined with Anti-Twist Technology (AT-T), keeps the blank perfectly stable under the torque of a power cast, ensuring laser-like accuracy.

• Super Glass (SGT) Tip: The spliced S-2 glass tip offers superior tensile strength and impact resistance. Unlike carbon tips, it cushions the bounce of a heavy sea while telegraphing every bite directly to the angler.

• Autoclave Technology: Centurys unique curing process ensures total resin consolidation. This prevents the rod from losing its snap or test curve over time, maintaining its original performance for the life of the rod.

• Titanium K Guides: These ultra-light, corrosion-proof guides are whipped in metallic blue and gold. Their anti-tangle frame design is essential for preventing frap-ups when using modern braided lines or during high-power casts.

Examples of Where to Use

• Rough Ground & Kelp: The T900-SGT has the lifting power to bully large fish out of jungle terrain before they can snag you.

• Fast Tidal Streams: Specifically engineered to hold position in heavy flow without folding, making it ideal for deep-water estuaries.

• Specimen Hunting: Perfect for the angler who needs a single rod that can deliver a 7oz lead and a large bait to extreme distances while maintaining the sensitivity to see every knock.

Pro Tip from Gerrys Fishing

The All-Rounders Secret: Dont let the beast reputation fool youthe T900-SGT is remarkably easy to load. Whether you use a simple overhead thump or a more technical off-the-ground cast, the Gearbox butt section engages smoothly. Because it now features a Fuji DPS sliding reel seat, you can adjust your reel position mid-session; move it up for power casting or down for a more comfortable fishing position. For night fishing, the 3M reflective tape near the top guides is exceptionally bright, making those slack-line takes unmistakabl
