Cox & Rawle Attractor Beads 4mm

The Cox & Rawle Attractor Beads 4mm are one of the smaller sizes in their range of fishing rig components, specifically designed for lighter terminal tackle applications.

Key Characteristics:

• Size: They are small, measuring 4mm in diameter.
• Type: They are general-purpose Attractor Beads and sometimes sold as Round Beads for rig-making.
• Colors: They are available in various options, including:
  • Clear
  • Black
  • Other high-visibility colours like Green (though Clear and Black are commonly advertised for the 4mm size).
• Construction: They are designed to be durable for use in various fishing conditions.

Primary Uses:

The small 4mm size makes them ideal for applications where subtlety or neatness is important:

1. Attraction on Hook Lengths (Snoods):
   • Their main purpose is to be added directly to the hook length just above the bait.
   • The beads provide a fleck of colour or visual cue that is believed to increase the hook-up rate, especially for species like flatfish (plaice, flounder) that are attracted to small, colorful targets.
   • They are often used in conjunction with other attractors like Cox & Rawle Attractor Sequins for maximum effect.
2. Rig Component Spacing/Buffering (on lighter rigs):
   • They can be used as a small stop or buffer to separate components on lighter rigs where a larger bead is unnecessary.
   • They help to ensure that knots or other rig components (like small swivels) remain spaced correctly on the line.

The 4mm size is favoured by anglers who tie their own sea fishing rigs and are targeting smaller species or require a very tidy, low-profile presentation.
