Daiwa Saltist Match 11 12-30lb

Daiwa Saltist Boat Match Edition | 11 | 12-30lb

The Ultimate Technical Tool for Precision Boat Angling

At Gerrys Fishing, we consider the 11 Match Edition to be the jewel in the crown of the Saltist boat range. While standard boat rods focus on brute force, the Match Edition introduces a level of finesse and versatility previously unseen in offshore angling. At 11 feet long, this rod is designed for the specialist who needs to fish outside the boxliterally. The extra length allows you to cast or reach away from the boats hull, clearing the congestion of other lines on a busy charter and reaching clean water where the fish are less spooked.

The defining feature of this model is the inclusion of three interchangeable push-in solid glass tips. These tips allow you to calibrate your bite detection perfectly against the strength of the tide and the size of your lead. Despite its length and sensitivity, the rod remains a Saltist at heart; it is built with HVF Nanoplus and reinforced with X45 and 3DX technology, ensuring that when a specimen Ray or smooth-hound takes the bait, you have all the tubular power needed to control the fight.

Key Features

• Three Interchangeable Glass Tips: Supplied with three different push-in solid glass tips to provide the ultimate bite detection across varying tidal strengths.

• 11 Reach: Provides a massive advantage on crowded boats, allowing you to keep your line clear of the hull and other anglers.

• X45 Bias Carbon: Eliminates blank twist, which is crucial on a longer rod to maintain casting accuracy and power delivery.

• 3DX Reinforcement: Adds incredible spine and wall strength to the blank, preventing it from feeling floppy despite its length.

• HVF Nanoplus: High-density carbon construction that keeps this long rod remarkably light and well-balanced.

• V-Joint: Ensures the multi-section blank curves perfectly under pressure, mimicking a one-piece rod.

• Fuji K-Series Guides: Tangle-free guides that ensure smooth line flow, essential for the light-line tactics often used with this rod.

Where to Use This Rod

The 11 Match Edition is a highly technical rod designed for light-to-medium ground and varied tidal conditions.

Gerrys Fishing Pro Tip: This rod is a game-changer for Competition Boat Anglers and those targeting shy-biting species like Bream, Whiting, and Flatfish. The long, supple blank and interchangeable tips make it the ultimate tool for scratching out fish when the fishing is hard. It is also an exceptional choice for light-tide Uptide fishing or fishing down-tide with long flowing traces for Bass and Ray. If you often find yourself on a crowded charter boat, the 11 length allows you to steer your gear around the anchor rope or other anglers lines with ease.
