Duo Rough Trail Pencil Popper 110 Topwater Floating Lure ADA0135

Floating

The Rough Trail Pencil Popper 110 is a topwater pencil popper that mixes walk-the-dog movement with splash.

That makes it more versatile than a straight popper because you can make it talk loudly when fish are aggressive, or walk it more subtly when they are following bait near the surface.

Use short downward twitches to walk it side to side, then add sharper pops when you want more water movement.

Pauses are important, especially after a splash, because predators often eat when the lure stops and looks catchable.

It is best over shallow reef, rock edges, flats, drains, and surface-feeding schools.

It is not useful when fish are holding deep, but when they are looking up, it gives you both commotion and control.

TARGET SPECIES: sea bass, trevally, bluefish, bonito, queenfish, snapper, flatfish, and shore-based predators hunting baitfish.
