Sinking

The Spearhead Caldera Rockback 85 Sinking Lure is a sinking inshore minnow for rockfish and shore predators that sit around broken ground.

It gives you a hardbait option when you need a baitfish profile that can reach slightly deeper lanes and hold in moving water.

Work it with steady retrieves, twitches, and pauses around rock edges, reef pockets, current seams, and harbour walls.

Because it sinks, it can be counted down into the zone before starting the retrieve, but it also needs attention around snaggy bottom.

This lure is strongest when fish are sitting off structure and reacting to a tight baitfish movement.

It is not the safest option for dragging through heavy rock, but when you can keep it swimming above the snags, it covers water better than a soft plastic.

TARGET SPECIES: sea bass, flatfish, trevally, bluefish, snapper, rockfish, queenfish, and inshore predators feeding on slim baitfish.
