Garbolino Keepnet Strike Round – 2.5M- Diameter 35cm

Garbolino Keepnet Strike Round 2.5m (35cm Diameter)

Keep your catch safe and secure without cluttering your swim with the Garbolino Keepnet Strike Round. At Gerrys Fishing, we know that on many modern venuesespecially narrow canals or crowded commercialsspace is at a premium. This 35cm diameter compact net is the perfect solution for anglers who need a professional-grade keepnet with a smaller footprint that doesnt sacrifice fish safety.

The Strike Round series is built for durability. The mesh is designed to be fish-friendly, featuring a smooth finish that protects the delicate scales and fins of your catch while ensuring excellent water flow to keep fish oxygenated. The 2.5m length is the industry standard for most club and open matches, providing ample room for fish to settle at the bottom of the net in deeper water.

One of the standout features is the multi-angle adjustment system. This robust locking mechanism allows you to orient the net perfectly relative to your seatbox, ensuring you can drop fish in quickly and efficiently without having to shift your seating position. With reinforced rings and a weighted base, this net stays pinned to the bottom even in breezy conditions.

Detailed Specifications

Where to Use

• Narrow Canal Towpaths: The 35cm diameter is a game-changer on canals where a standard 45cm or 50cm net would stick out too far, potentially obstructing boat traffic or passing walkers.

• Silverfish Matches: Perfect for targetting roach, rudd, and skimmers. Its compact size makes it easier to pull in and out when you are catching high numbers of smaller fish.

• Secondary Silvers Net: On commercial venues that require you to separate carp and silvers, this makes an ideal second net that sits neatly alongside your main carp net without taking up excessive room on your accessory bar.

• Tight Platforms: If you are fishing from a small wooden stand or a pod where space is limited, the Strike Round fits into the corners much better than oversized rectangular nets.

Pro Tip

Gerrys Pro Tip: To ensure your net lasts for seasons, always give it a quick rinse in the fisherys stink bag or dip tank, but more importantly, make sure it is bone dry before storing it in a sealed bag. If you are fishing a venue with a bit of a flow or surface tow, clip a small lead weight to the bottom ring. This keeps the net fully extended and prevents it from collapsing on itself, which gives the fish much more room to move.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this net legal for use in all matches?

The 2.5m length meets the minimum requirements for the vast majority of UK club and open matches. However, always check specific fishery rules, as some venues may require 3m nets for large weights of carp.

Does it come with a bankstick?

No, like most professional keepnets, this features a standard 3/8 BSF thread that fits all universal banksticks and seatbox accessory arms. We highly recommend using it with a Garbolino Multigrip Keepnet Arm for maximum stability.

Is the mesh hook-proof?

While no mesh is 100% hook-proof, the Strike Round uses a fine micromesh that is designed to minimize hook snags. If you do get a hook caught, the weave is tight enough that it usually pulls out without tearing the material.

Is 35cm big enough for carp?

While you can fit smaller pastie carp in a 35cm net, it is primarily designed for silverfish or smaller match-sized fish. If you are regularly catching double-figure carp, we recommend stepping up to the Garbolino 45cm or 50cm models to ensure the fish have enough room.
