Garbolino X-Power Speed Match 2130BZ

Garbolino X-Power Speed Match 2130BZ: The High-Efficiency Match Hook

The Garbolino X-Power Speed Match 2130BZ is a high-performance competition hook engineered for speed and durability in match fishing scenarios. Part of Garbolinos elite 2026 range, this pattern is designed for anglers who need to cycle fish quickly on natural venues. Its defining feature is the extra-long shank, which provides the leverage required for rapid unhooking, making it the premier choice when fishing for the clock.

Forged from a heavy-gauge strong wire, the 2130BZ offers the structural integrity to handle larger bonus fish like F1s and carp without the risk of the hook gaping. The bronze finish provides a natural, low-glare presentation, while the spade end ensures a secure and streamlined connection to your line.

Key Performance Features

• Extra Long Shank: The extended shank is purpose-built for speed. It allows for an easy grip during unhookingoften with just a flick of the wrist or a disgorgersignificantly reducing the time the fish spends out of the water.

• Strong Wire Construction: Despite its refined match profile, the X-Power designation refers to its superior strength. This hook can handle high-pressure situations and aggressive swinging of fish without bending or breaking.

• Micro-Barb Security: The micro-barb is designed to offer maximum hook-hold security during the fight while remaining small enough to cause minimal tissue damage and allow for instant removal.

• Baits Versatility: The long shank and strong wire make this hook ideal for bulkier baits. It excels when using worms, double maggots, casters, or bunch of dead maggots, preventing the bait from masking the hook point.

Ideal Fishing Scenarios

• Speed Fishing for Silvers: Perfect for catching Roach, Rudd, and Skimmers at pace. The long shank makes it easy to handle even when your hands are wet or cold.

• F1 and Carp on Natural Venues: A great choice for mixed nets on canals or rivers where you need a hook strong enough to land a 5lb carp but delicate enough to catch a 2oz dace.

• Bigger Bait Presentations: Use sizes 12 or 14 for fishing with segments of worm or large bunches of maggots when targeting specimen-sized Bream or Perch.

• Pole & Float Tactics: While versatile, this spade-end pattern is specifically optimized for pole fishing and whip work where direct control and speed are paramount.

Gerrys Tip: To truly maximize the speed of the 2130BZ, I recommend tying these to a slightly stiffer hooklink material. The extra-long shank combined with a stiff line helps prevent the hook from twisting during unhooking, keeping you in the water longer and boosting your final weight
