Inova Kamisori Aberdeens

The Inova Kamisori Aberdeens are a specific pattern of fishing hook designed for versatility and strength in sea fishing, particularly shore and boat fishing.

The name combines the traditional Aberdeen hook shape with Inovas Kamisori line, which emphasizes high-quality Japanese steel and sharpness.

Key Features

• Hook Pattern: Aberdeen style. This pattern is characterized by its extra-long shank and generally round bend.
• Material: Constructed using premium Japanese High Carbon Steel, known for superior strength and quality.
• Strength/Wire: Forged for tremendous strength, often described as a heavy-duty or 2X thickness for added durability. This allows them to handle larger or tougher-fighting fish without straightening out.
• Point: Features an ultra-sharp RAZOR point achieved through a unique hardening process. This ensures instant and deep penetration with minimal effort.
• Eye: They typically feature a large eye, which aids in tying heavier monofilament or fluorocarbon snoods.

Primary Uses

The combination of the long shank and heavy wire makes the Inova Kamisori Aberdeen hooks highly versatile and popular among sea anglers:

• Bait Presentation: The long shank is ideal for presenting long, stringy baits like whole ragworms, lugworms, or sections of sandeel, allowing the bait to be securely threaded up the shank for a neat presentation.
• Species Targeting: They are considered excellent all-round hooks for targeting a variety of common bottom-feeding and predatory sea fish, including:
  • Flounder and Plaice (Flatties)
  • Cod
  • Bass
  • Ray species
  • Smoothhounds (smaller sizes for scratching, larger sizes for tougher fish).
• Rigging: Suitable for use in standard paternoster rigs, flapper rigs, and scratching rigs where a clean bait presentation and anti-tangle length is necessary.
