Joe’s Hopper

Joes Hopper A classic terrestrial dry fly for explosive strikes.

Joes Hopper is a timeless pattern that imitates grasshoppers, a favorite summer meal for hungry trout and bass. Its buoyant deer hair wing and full hackle keep it riding high, while the yellow body and realistic profile make it easy to spot on the water. Perfect for drifting along grassy banks, overhanging edges, or windy summer days when naturals fall in, this fly is deadly for opportunistic feeders looking for a big bite. Durable and versatile, Joes Hopper remains one of the most trusted terrestrial imitations in fly fishing. A minimum quantity of 2 flies of the same size has been set for this item due to the staff time and labour it takes to fulfill fly orders. In our experience it’s always nice to have a spare if you happen to lose one on a rock or tree branch too!
