Maxel Transformer High Speed (right)

The Maxel Transformer High Speed (right) represents a further development of the popular Transformer series. The result is a significantly lighter construction with noticeably improved performance and ergonomics . The optimizations go far beyond mere design changes and are immediately apparent in handling, smooth running, and power transmission .

Innovations in Transformers

• Arch-shaped milled side plate The ergonomically redesigned shape ensures a more comfortable hand position and a secure grip even during long jigging sessions.
• Revised EVA oval knobs Reduced weight and particularly grippy for high user comfort and fatigue-free cranking.
• Newly designed crank axle with additional ball bearing The additional bearing ensures even smoother running and higher cranking force under load . In addition, the axle coating was changed from brass to aluminum lighter and more efficient.
• Optimized gearbox side plate on the larger models (F60H(L), F70H(L)) Thinner and lighter, with unchanged stability and stiffness for better balance and reduced fatigue.

Noticeable performance improvement

The Transformer combines the series’ renowned robustness with a lighter, smoother, and more powerful performance . This translates into greater control, increased efficiency, and reduced strain for the angler , especially during heavy offshore jigging.

Technical Highlights

• Lever-operated dual drag braking system
• Magnetic throwing support to improve throwing performance (only for sizes 30 / 40 / 50)
• Precision-milled, one-piece frame made of hardened aluminum extremely torsionally rigid
• Super strong, cold-forged aluminum coil and side plates
• High-precision, heat-treated stainless steel gears with helical cut design for particularly smooth running
• Oversized, encapsulated stainless steel ball bearings with the highest precision
• Carbon dual drag braking system wide, consistent braking range, even in wet conditions
• Recessed stainless steel reel foot , sits lower on the rod for better balance
• Silent line retrieval on all models

We recommend the Seaguar R18 LTD , the test winner among FC lines from Japan, as a suitable line.
