McCoy’s Amphibious Assault Frog Fly

The McCoys Amphibious Assault Frog Fly is a deadly surface pattern developed by Ed McCoy specifically for targeting trophy trout and bass.

Frogs are a common but often overlooked food source in many rivers and streams, especially throughout Northern Michigan, where this fly has proven itself season after season.

Built with a unique hook-to-shank articulation, blended materials, and a foam head, the Amphibious Assault comes alive on the water. Its design creates increased water displacement and a realistic swimming profile that draws aggressive strikes from large predatory fish. The foam head keeps the fly riding high while the articulated connection improves movement and results in more consistent, positive hook-ups.

If youve seen Ed McCoys social feeds, youve likely seen this fly in actionresponsible for landing numerous oversized trout over multiple seasons. This is a must-have pattern for anglers targeting big fish after dark or along frog-rich banks.
