KARASHI 80 brings the genre-defying performance of the 59mm original to a harder-hitting middleweight size, expanding its deadly reach to a new class of targets. Harnessing Yuki Itos hard won hydrodynamic expertise, KARASHI unleashes bait-busting surface action with a fast retrieve and upward rod twitches, surface dog-walking, subsurface twitch-walking, and finesse i-motion with a straight retrieve. KARASHI 80s extended darting range and dynamic ability are decisive strike triggers for targets that track other baits but wont commit. With the uncanny range to coax even the wariest targets from inactive to active feeding stages, the KARASHI 80 is the embodiment of a deadly new class of Japanese lure technology.

Action types:

• I-Motion – employ a super-slow retrieve just fast enough to keep the target depth range. The defenseless wobbling action evokes injured bait, triggering bites from opportunisticfeeders.
• Twitching – work in a twitch of the rod to set the KARASHI darting sub-surface, exhibitingan agile dart that triggers reaction bites from followers.
• Dog-walk – a rhythmic twitch on the surface will deliver an irresistibly smooth dog-
walking action. Pauses will allow the KARASHI to slow-sink and then walk its way backto the surface like a baitfish rising to escape.
• Bait-busting – with fast, upwards twitches of the rod and a speedy retrieve, the KARASHIwalks, splashes and leaps along the surface like fleeing baitfish, triggering devastatingstrikes from aggressive feeders.

The Megabass Karashi 80 expands the innovative performance of the original Karashi into a larger, more versatile finesse hard bait capable of enticing bigger predators and covering a wider range of fishing situations. Developed using Yuki Ito’s advanced hydrodynamic design philosophy, the Karashi 80 blurs the line between topwater and subsurface presentations, giving anglers multiple fish-triggering actions in a single lure.

Designed to excel when fish are following but refusing traditional lures, the Karashi 80 can be worked with a variety of retrieves to imitate everything from an injured baitfish to a panicked fleeing meal. Its responsive balance and refined body design allow effortless transitions between surface and subsurface presentations, making it an invaluable tool for pressured bass and other wary predators.

On a slow, steady retrieve, the Karashi 80 produces a subtle wobbling “I-Motion” that imitates a vulnerable baitfish. Sharp rod twitches send the lure darting just below the surface, while rhythmic twitches create a smooth, walk-the-dog action on top. For aggressive feeding fish, a fast retrieve combined with upward rod snaps produces an exciting bait-busting presentation as the lure walks, splashes, and skips across the surface like fleeing forage.

Whether targeting suspended fish, schooling bass, or pressured predators that refuse conventional presentations, the Karashi 80 offers unmatched versatility and the ability to trigger strikes from fish that simply won’t commit to other lures.
