Nash Subterfuge Soft Protect 12ft 3 Rod Skin

The Nash Subterfuge Soft Protect 12ft 3 Rod Skin is a high-quality, feature-rich rod holdall designed for the discerning carp angler who values protection, organization, and a streamlined setup. Part of the premium Subterfuge luggage range, this rod skin is built to safeguard your valuable rods and reels while offering exceptional versatility as part of a modular system.

Core Features and Design Philosophy

The main purpose of the Soft Protect Rod Skin is to provide a robust, padded, and modular solution for carrying three made-up rods. Unlike traditional holdalls that can be bulky and difficult to carry, this skin is designed to be sleek and efficient. Its design focuses on protecting your gear while also making it incredibly easy to access and transport.

The Soft Protect name refers to its dense internal padding, which offers a high level of cushioning for your rods and reels. The skin is built for 12ft rods and is generously sized to accommodate large big-pit reels and 50mm butt rings, ensuring a perfect fit for modern carp fishing setups.

Key Features

• Densely Padded for Optimum Protection: The rod skin is lined with a thick, dense padding that provides superior protection for your rods and reels. This cushioning safeguards your expensive gear from knocks and bumps during transport.
• Heavy-Duty Anti-Snag Zip: The skin features a heavy-duty, anti-snag double zip that runs along the spine. This design prevents line damage when you are zipping the skin open or closed, a common issue with many rod bags. The zip stops short of the top to allow you to easily locate your rod tips without the rod falling out.
• Modular Design: A key feature of the Soft Protect range is its modularity. The 3 Rod Skin has base pouches and compression webbings on both sides. These are designed to attach additional Soft Protect 1 Rod Skins (sold separately), allowing you to expand your carrying capacity from three to five rods. This makes the system incredibly flexible for different session lengths.
• Versatile External Storage: The skin is not just for rods. It also includes six pairs of external elastic loops, which are perfect for securely holding banksticks or distance sticks. This keeps your essential rig-building tools organized and easy to access.
• Dedicated Pockets: The skin features a large, external zipped pocket. This is perfectly sized for a landing net handle, weigh slings, or other essential accessories, keeping them separate from your rods.
• Wipe-Clean Waterproof Base: The base of the skin is made from a durable, wipe-clean waterproof PVC material. This is crucial for protecting the contents from moisture when the skin is placed on damp ground.
• Comfortable Carrying: The rod skin is equipped with a padded, adjustable shoulder strap. This ensures a comfortable carrying experience, even when the skin is fully loaded and heavy.
