Pato’s Crab – Yellow Eyes

A must-have for destinations like Ascension, Espiritu Santo, or Chetumal Bay and one of our Top Permit Flies. Pato’s Crab is a variant of the traditional rag head, notable for its trademark yellow eyes, chartreuse thread, and markings at the end of its rubber legs. Patos Crab is especially popular among Yucatn guides, though its effectiveness extends to permit fisheries around the world. Variations with red, orange, or pink eyes are common, but yellow remains the top choice. Be sure to strip it slowlytoo fast and the fly spins, tipping off wary fish that something isnt right.
