Prologic Avenger S/S Cradles

Elite Fish Welfare: Compact Protection for the Ultimate Catch.

At Gerrys, we believe that fish care should always be the priority. The Prologic Avenger S/S (Stainless Steel) Cradles provide a professional-level unhooking solution that combines a lightweight, high-tensile frame with the ultimate in soft-touch protection. Designed to keep the fish safely suspended off the ground, these cradles ensure your prized catch is protected from uneven or rocky terrain while you prepare your camera gear.

Available in two sizes, the Avenger series features a unique Seam-Safe design, eliminating any rough edges or internal ridges that could damage a fishs mucus layer. Whether you are targeting local 20lb mirrors or massive continental 50lb+ commons, these cradles offer the security and stability required for safe handling.

Why the Avenger Cradle is a Gerrys Top Pick:

• Seam-Safe Mattress: The internal mattress is designed with a totally smooth finish, ensuring the fish is held in a frictionless environment to preserve its delicate protective coating.

• Fully Padded Frame: The entire perimeter of the stainless steel frame is encased in high-density padding, acting as a shock absorber should the fish become lively during the unhooking process.

• Soft Drainage Mesh: Integrated mesh panels on the short sides allow water to drain away instantly, making it easier to keep the cradle clean and reducing the weight when its time to pack up.

• Adjustable Pivoting Mud Feet: Each leg is independently adjustable with large-diameter swivel mud feet. This allows you to find a rock-solid, level base on steep canal banks or uneven gravel pits.

• Ultra-Compact Transport: Despite its generous size when assembled, the clever folding frame allows the cradle to pack down remarkably flat, fitting neatly into the supplied zipped carry bag.

Key Tactical Advantages

1. Off-the-Floor Security:

By suspending the fish in the cradle, you eliminate the risk of the fish coming into contact with sharp stones, twigs, or frozen ground. This is the gold standard for modern specimen fish care.

2. Fast Drainage & Drying:

The side mesh panels ensure that any excess water used to keep the fish wet doesnt pool in the bottom. This prevents the cradle from becoming unnecessarily heavy and allows the materials to dry much faster at the end of your session.

3. Effortless Setup:

The folding-X frame design is intuitive and fast. Within seconds of landing a fish, you can have a level, stable, and fully padded environment ready to receive your catch.

4. Precise Leveling on Slopes:

Standard unhooking mats often slide on steep banks. The Avenger Cradles adjustable legs allow you to shorten the uphill legs and lengthen the downhill legs, ensuring the fish always rests in a flat, safe position.

Gerrys Verdict: Prologic has nailed the balance between weight and protection here. The stainless steel frame feels bomb-proof, but the way it folds down is a massive plus for barrow space. If youre fishing for big carp, the Large version is a must-haveits one of the most stable framed cradles weve seen at this price
