The Sakura Pike Gloves are engineered for the serious predator angler who needs to handle fish like Pike, Zander, or large saltwater species without the risk of cuts from gill rakers, teeth, or sharp dorsal fins. Unlike many one-size-fits-all single gloves, Sakura provides these as a complete pair (Left and Right), ensuring total hand protection regardless of which hand you use to grip the fish.
Constructed from a high-strength hybrid fabric (Polyester, Nylon, and Elastane), these gloves offer a balance of puncture resistance and flexibility. The addition of a thick Latex coating on the palms and fingers provides a non-slip grip on slimy fish, while also protecting the fabric from absorbing odors and water.

The 3kg Magnetic System: These gloves are designed to be worn when you need them, not all day. They come with high-power magnets and carabiners, allowing you to hang them from your Sakura Portacana Belt or your trousers. When a fish is ready to be landed, a quick tug releases the glove instantly.
Latex-Coated Grip: The textured latex palm ensures that even the slipperiest Pike wont slide through your hands. This is vital for the safety of the fish as well as the angler, as it prevents dropped fish and accidental gill-plate slips.
Enhanced Durability: By using 30% Nylon in the weave, Sakura has significantly increased the abrasion resistance of the glove, protecting against the sandpaper teeth of Zander and the razor-sharp gill covers of Bass.
Ergonomic Flex: The 10% Elastane content ensures the gloves arent stiff. You maintain enough dexterity to operate pliers or grip the lower jaw of a fish comfortably.
Pike & Muskie Handling: Essential for the Gill-Plate lift. The glove protects your knuckles and fingers from the sharp rakers inside the Pikes mouth while youre unhooking.
Saltwater Bass & Pollock: Protects your hands from the sharp dorsal spines and gill covers that can cause painful, infected cuts in a saltwater environment.
Zander & Walleye: Ideal for gripping the fish firmly for a photo without being poked by the Zanders needle-like teeth or sharp fins.
Boat & Kayak Fishing: Space is limited on a boat; having these gloves hanging within reach via the magnet ensures you are always prepared for a hot landing.
The magnetic release on these is a lifesaver. I keep the magnets clipped to the back of my Sakura Predator Box or my belt loop. When the fish is in the net, I just grab the gloves, and they snap away from the magnet ready to go. Important tip: After a session with a big Pike, rinse these in fresh water and let them air dry. The latex is great at keeping slime off your skin, but youll want to keep the gloves themselves fresh for the next trip
