Savage Gear Low Glider Jerkbait 14.5cm 78g SS Fegis

Savage Gear Low Glider Jerkbait 14.5cm 78g SS Fegis Glide bait for pike fishing in Ireland

The Savage Gear Low Glider Jerkbait 14.5cm 78g SS Fegis is a powerful glide bait designed to reach the depth where large pike often hold. With its lively left-to-right swimming action and strong belly flash, this lure creates a realistic injured baitfish movement that predators find hard to ignore. Built to dive to around 1.52.0 metres, it is ideal for covering mid-depth water where big fish often patrol along structure and drop-offs.

Designed to be fished slowly and deliberately, the Low Glider produces an erratic gliding motion that can trigger aggressive strikes from pike following the lure. The loud tubular rattle adds additional attraction, helping fish locate the bait in coloured water or windy conditions.

The lure features a durable PU foam-filled body with a strong thru-wire construction that provides excellent strength when fighting powerful predators. Combined with forged split rings and ultra-sharp SGY treble hooks, the Low Glider is built to withstand the demanding conditions of predator fishing in Irish waters.

Why It Works for Irish Anglers

Irish pike often hold close to drop-offs, weed edges, and underwater structure where they ambush passing prey. The Savage Gear Low Glider is designed to fish at the depth where these predators are most active. Its slow gliding action and belly flash make it particularly effective when worked along lake margins, canal edges, or deeper river stretches.

The built-in rattle helps the lure stand out in peat-stained or low-visibility water often found in Irish venues. By fishing the lure slowly with controlled jerks and pauses, anglers can create a wounded baitfish presentation that encourages big pike to strike.

Perfect For

• Pike fishing in Irish lakes and loughs
• Working drop-offs and underwater structure
• Fishing canals and deeper drains
• Targeting large predators in slow rivers
• Anglers using jerkbait and glide bait techniques
