Sawamura One Up Shad 7 – 14.8cm 32g

Sawamura One Up Shad 7 14.8cm: The Specimen Hunters Choice

The One Up Shad is arguably the most famous soft lure in Europe, and for good reasonpredators treat it as natural bait. At Gerrys Fishing, we consider the One Up Shad 7 (14.8cm) to be the sweet spot for specimen hunters. It is large enough to target trophy-sized pike, zander, and bass, yet it isnt so oversized that it requires heavy, tiring equipment to cast all day.

This lure features the signature Sawamura hinged body, which creates a fantastic, fluid swimming action. Whether you are fishing it on a steady linear retrieve or working it vertically over deep structures, the jointed section allows the tail to kick with a seductive, natural rhythm that mimics a substantial prey fish.

Formidable Attraction & Engineering

• Trump Attractant & Scent: Infused with the legendary Trump scent, this lure doesnt just look realit smells and tastes real. Predators often inhale the One Up Shad, and the potent attractant ensures they dont spit it out, giving you more time to set the hook.

• Versatile Rigging Options: The 7-inch model is exceptionally versatile. It can be fished Weightless for shallow, weedy areas, on a heavy Jig Head for deep water, or with a Texas/Texan rig for snag-heavy environments.

• Low-Inertia Tail: Thanks to the incredibly supple Sawamura plastic compound, the paddle tail begins to move the moment it hits the water, even at ultra-low speeds.

• Stability at Speed: Despite its high flexibility, the body remains stable during fast recoveries, making it ideal for aggressive power fishing tactics.

Where to Use the One Up Shad 7

The 14.8cm profile is a big fish magnet. The Gerrys team recommends this size for:

• Targeting Specimen Bass: This is a formidable lure for large sea bass. The 32g weight allows for excellent casting distance, and the 7-inch profile mimics the larger baitfish like mackerel or pouting that big bass thrive on.

• Big Water Pike Fishing: A favorite for pike on large lochs and reservoirs. The thumping vibration of the paddle tail can be felt by predators from a great distance.

• Vertical Zander Fishing: On deep rivers or reservoirs, the One Up 7 is a deadly vertical bait. Its ability to move at a standstill makes it perfect for teasing big zander into a strike.

• Heavy Tidal Races: Rigged on a heavy jig head, the stability and displacement of the 7-inch body make it a top performer for pollack and cod in fast-moving water.
