Scotty Power Grip Plus 1170 Downrigger Line Release Clip

TheScotty Power Grip Plus 1170 Downrigger Line Release Clip is fitted with an 18″ heavy monofilament leader and acannonball snap that clips onto your downrigger bomb.

If you want to run another bait at a different depth with a second rod setup, get a 1171Line Release Clip and attach it to your downrigger line at the desired depth, it will hold at that depth and won’t slide up or down it.

Let’s say you’re fishing in 80m of water and wanted to run a bait at 80m and one at 60m to cover more ground, on the downrigger bomb you’d attach one of these1170Line Release Clips as normal from one rod, lower the bomb down into the water and 20m later you’d attachthe1171Line Release Clip which will grab and hold the line at the shallower spot, then you lower itto 80m.

Instructions:

• Attach the cannonball snap to the downriggerbomb
• Attach the line off your fishing rod to the clip by squeezing the jaws apart and placing the line between the pads. Note: the further into the pads you lay your line, the more tension that’s required to pull your line free
• Further change the tensionby moving the tension adjuster at the back of the clipforwards (increases tension) or backwards (decreases tension)

Features:

• 18″heavy monofilament leader
• Cannonballsnap
