Shimano Sienna AR TEGT Glued 2.70m 10-30g 5pc

Shimano Sienna AR TEGT Glued 2.70m (10-30g) | The Refined Travel Performer

At Gerrys Fishing, we recognize that for many anglers, the best fishing is the kind that happens on the move. The Shimano Sienna AR TEGT Glued edition provides the perfect balance of portable convenience and high-quality fixed-guide performance. Built on a lightweight Full Carbon blank, this rod is a significant step up from standard telescopic options, offering a crisp responsiveness that makes it a joy to use across a variety of techniques.

This 2.70m (approx. 8.8ft) model with a 10-30g casting weight is the ultimate finesse travel tool. It is perfectly suited for light lure fishing, float work on canals and lakes, or light saltwater spinning from piers and harbor walls. The Glued configuration ensures that the guides are securely fixed for optimal line flow, maintaining the rods sleek profile while providing a professional feel that belies its entry-level price.

Performance Without Compromise

• Full Carbon Construction: The use of Shimanos AX Full Carbon blank keeps the rod incredibly light and slim. Unlike heavy, sluggish composite rods, this carbon construction provides the sensitivity needed to feel subtle takes and the responsiveness required for accurate casting.

• Classic Cork Handle: Enhancing both the look and feel, the high-quality cork handle provides a traditional aesthetic that is rare in telescopic designs. It offers a warm, comfortable grip that stays non-slip even when your hands are wet.

• Versatile Moderate-Fast Action: This action is carefully tuned to be an all-rounder. It is forgiving enough to help beginners cast with ease, yet it possesses a progressive power curve that provides excellent feedback when playing fish.

• Saltwater Safe Components: Equipped with Shimano stainless steel Hardlite guides, the Sienna AR is built to resist corrosion. This makes it a true multi-terrain rod, equally at home on a fresh riverbank or a salty coastal rock mark.

Use Example: Urban Exploration and Coastal Wandering

Imagine you are exploring a new city with a canal running through its heart, or youre walking a coastal path during a weekend getaway. You want to be able to flick a small 15g spinner for Perch or target Bass in the margins with a light lure.

The 2.70m Sienna AR is your perfect companion. It collapses down into a compact 94cm package that easily fits into a backpack or car boot. When you reach a promising spot, it deploys in seconds. The 10-30g rating handles all your standard light lures and floats, while the Full Carbon blank ensures that even a smaller fish provides a fantastic scrap. Paired with a Sienna 2500 reel, its a setup that is as visually striking as it is effective.
