Shimano Stradic Seabass Spinning 7’11 20-60g 1+1pc Fast

Shimano Stradic Seabass Spinning | 711 20-60g 1+1pc Fast

The Long-Range Powerhouse for Heavy-Duty Seabass Hunting.

For the boat angler who needs to reach distant feeding schools with heavy lures, the Shimano Stradic Seabass 711 (20-60g) is the definitive heavy artillery of the range. At Gerrys Fishing, we recommend this model for situations where you need to combine maximum casting distance with the backbone to handle large, aggressive predators in deep water or strong tides. Dressed in the iconic Stradic white finish, it is the perfect aesthetic and performance match for the world-famous Stradic spinning reels.

The 711 length acts as a powerful lever, enabling you to launch heavy hardbaits and soft plastics much further than shorter rods. Built on a High Modulus Carbon blank and reinforced with Diaflash technology in the butt section, this rod is designed to minimize blank twist during explosive casts. This ensures that every bit of energy is transferred into your lure, allowing you to reach fish that would otherwise stay out of range.

The 1+1 construction (blank into handle) preserves the seamless power transfer and sensitivity of a one-piece rod, providing a crisp, fast action that handles 60g lures with total authority.

Where to Use This Rod

• Long-Distance Shore & Boat Work: The 20-60g rating and 711 length make this a dream for launching heavy metals and large surface poppers into distant boiling schools of Bass.

• Deep Water Wrecking: Ideal for fishing over wrecks with large, heavy-headed soft plastics (shads and sandeels) where you need the extra length to clear the boats rail and the power to pump big fish away from structure.

• Strong Tidal Races: Perfect for fishing heavy estuaries or rocky points where strong currents require heavier lures (40g+) to reach the strike zone.

• Big Game Predator Hunting: Beyond Bass, this rod has the muscle to handle large Pollack, Coalfish, and even light inshore tropical species when traveling.
