Shimano Ultegra FD C5000 XG

Shimano Ultegra FD C5000 XG: The Compact Powerhouse

Experience the perfect fusion of elite technology and incredible value. The Shimano Ultegra FD C5000 XG is the flagship of Shimanos mid-priced range, offering features once reserved exclusively for the legendary Stella. As a member of the Coresolid family, this reel is engineered for durability and raw strength, making it the definitive choice for anglers who demand high performance when fishing high-resistance lures in both fresh and saltwater.

Elite Engineering: The Stella DNA

The Ultegra FD is a revolution in affordable technology. By incorporating Shimanos top-tier internal systems, it delivers a level of smoothness and power that is almost unheard of at this price point:

• HAGANE Gear & Micro Module II: Provides the ultimate in gear durability and a silky-smooth rotation that remains rock-solid under the pressure of a hard-fighting fish.

• InfinityDrive & InfinityXross: These advanced technologies maximize gear contact and winding power, ensuring you can pull large lures through heavy current with ease.

• Silent Drive: Removes internal play and vibration, resulting in a silent, fluid winding experience that allows you to focus entirely on the lures action.

The C5000 XG Advantage

This specific model is designed for high-intensity applications:

• Compact Body (C): You get the power and drag capacity of a 5000 reel in a compact, lightweight Ci4+ frame, ensuring perfect balance on modern lure rods.

• Extra High Gear (XG): With a blistering 101cm retrieve per crank, this reel is perfect for burning lures across the surface, working fast-moving jigs, or quickly retrieving line in heavy surf.

• Long Stroke AR-C Spool: Increases casting distance by allowing the line to flow more freely, reaching marks that were previously out of range.

Saltwater Ready & Technical Precision

• X-Protect: Provides exceptional water resistance without compromising the reels light rotation, making it perfect for sea bass lure fishing and light rock fishing (LRF).

• Anti-Twist Fin: A game-changer for line management, this feature prevents the dreaded wind knots and slack line issues when jerking or twitching lures.

• Duracross Drag: Offers exceptional, accurate control when playing large predators, ensuring the drag remains smooth even during long, high-speed runs.
