Shimano Vanford FA C5000 XG

Shimano Vanford FA C5000 XG: Elite Sensitivity Meets Raw Power

Redefine what a high-capacity reel can feel like. The Vanford FA C5000 XG is the flagship of Shimanos Magnumlite series, engineered for those who seek the perfect balance of featherlight handling and the torque required for hard-fighting species. Whether you are launching lures into the surf or targeting heavy freshwater predators, the Vanford FA delivers a level of control you can actually feel.

Supercharged Sensitivity: The MGL Advantage

The heart of the Vanford FA is the second-generation Magnumlite (MGL) Rotor. Crafted from Shimanos exclusive Ci4+ composite, the start-up inertia is almost imperceptible. This means the reel responds to the slightest movement of the handle, giving you surgical control over your lures action and the sensitivity to detect the most tentative ticks from trophy fish.

The 5000 XG: The Lightweight Powerhouse

Despite its impressive 225g weight, the C5000 XG is built for battle. The Extra High Gear (XG) ratio retrieves a massive 101cm of line per crank, allowing you to stay in contact with fast-moving fish and manage slack instantly. This model is the perfect partner for high-quality lure rods, enhancing the balance of your setup so you can fish harder and longer without fatigue.

Built with Flagship Internal Engineering

The Vanford FA is packed with technologies often reserved for top-tier reels:

• InfinityDrive & InfinityXross: Delivering a deceptive amount of cranking power and gear durability, ensuring the reel remains smooth even under heavy loads.

• Duracross Drag: Provides exceptional, accurate pressure controlessential when playing hard-fighting fish on technical gear.

• Anti-Twist Fin & SilentDrive: Erases play in every component and manages line pressure through the roller to virtually eliminate wind knots, even when using lightweight lures in windy conditions.

• HAGANE Gear & MicroModule II: Precision-cut gearing that ensures the out-of-the-box smoothness lasts for seasons to come.
