When using a single sleeve, the most common source of damage is actually the lead weight banging against the rod blank inside the fabric. We always recommend clipping a neoprene lead pouch around your lead on the outside of the sleeve, or tucking the lead into the reel handle area. Also, if you use a 10ft Extender style rod (like a Nash Scope or similar), double-check your collapsed lengththis 170cm sleeve is a great fit for those shorter, retracted setups too!

The 600D material is PU-backed, which offers excellent water resistance. It will easily handle heavy rain and spray. As with all fabric luggage, we suggest drying it out thoroughly once you get home to maintain the materials integrity and prevent any damp smells.
