Westin Salty 12g 7cm UV Motoroil

Westin Salty 12g 7cm UV Motoroil Compact Sea Trout Lure in UV Motoroil

The Westin Salty 12g 7cm in UV Motoroil is a compact, highly effective lure designed for sea trout fishing in demanding Irish coastal conditions. Despite its smaller size, this lure casts exceptionally well, even into strong headwinds, making it a reliable choice for exposed beaches, estuaries, and shallow bays.

Its natural baitfish silhouette and subtle swimming action allow it to be fished both fast and slow. In colder water or when trout are cautious, the Salty excels when worked slowly with gentle rod-tip twitches and short pauses. The UV Motoroil colour adds enhanced visibility while retaining a natural profile, making it particularly effective in low light or slightly coloured water.

Why It Works for Irish Anglers

Irish sea trout fishing often means adapting to wind, clear water, and wary fish. The smaller Salty 12g 7cm allows for subtle presentations while still offering the casting distance needed to reach fish from the shore. Its ability to fish effectively at slow speeds makes it a standout option during winter and early spring, when trout respond best to a restrained action.

Perfect For

• Sea trout fishing along the Irish coast
• Fishing shallow bays, estuaries, and beaches
• Cold water and winter trout fishing
• Situations where a subtle, compact lure is required
